Who Are We?
In 1999, two former professional riders started their own cycling club in Mongolia under the name “ACTA-MN”.
Frenchman Marc Wendling, who is a former cyclist and current cycling coach in France, teamed up with Naran Zundui, a decorated Mongolian former pro-cyclist and Olympian cyclist (Barcelona 1992).
Together they founded Mongolia’s first professional cycling team, and they quickly became the go-to team for Mongolian youngsters and elite riders.
After repeated request by friends, guests and governmental figures, the club founders finally started offering their extensive knowledge of cycling to international travellers.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Energy, "Snow Leopard" Bike Club held its inaugural MTB expedition in early 2008. The expedition traversed the entire length of Mongolia in order to promote a healthy lifestyle, sports and democracy.
The group of 10 people, from various foreign countries, were astounded by the beauty of Mongolia and begged the club founders to open this beautiful country to cyclists worldwide.
This year, the club adopted the new name “Snow Leopard” club.
A new name marks a new turning-point in our club’s history.
We are taking our club one level higher by getting more sponsors, partners, material and by offering our mountainbike cycling tours on a permanent basis.
We are also participating more actively in international competitions thanks to the generosity of our sponsors.
What we offer our guests is true cycling in Mongolia, with Mongolia’s best cyclists.
